Phil makes a pretty nice call here. He made a continuation bet against John D’Agostino on the flop, turned a pair of nines with an ace kicker, didn’t improve on the river (when a possible straight draw got there), and still called John’s $11,000 bet, which he obviously read as a steal attempt.

I mean this really isn’t big news — but the fact that Phil actually rebought for 100k more after being felted once by poker pro Ilari Sahamies in a $500/$1000 PLO game on the Full Tilt Poker site (the official sponsor of Mr. Ivey).

This is by far the best Full Tilt poker commercial I’ve seen. Phil Ivey and a bunch of Phil Ivey wannabes at a table, Phil being cool as ever and the midget opponent being the true Phil clone.
